Outpatient Therapy

Two people having a friendly conversation indoors.

Peer Alliance Community offers outpatient therapy for adults in  the local area. Therapy is a private place to work through what is going on in your life, with someone trained to help.

Who you will see:

A licensed clinical social worker. The same person who does your first assessment works with you going forward.

How it starts:

Your first visit is an assessment. You and your therapist talk through your history, what brought you in, and what you want to be different. Together you write a plan with your goals in it. That plan guides every session after.

Sessions we offer:

  • Individual therapy — you and your therapist, one on one. Sessions run about 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
  • Family therapy — with you present, or with your family when that helps more.
  • Group therapy — a small group of adults working on similar goals.
  • Crisis sessions — a longer session when something urgent comes up.

What we do not do:

We do not prescribe or manage medication. We do not do psychological testing. We do not provide substance use disorder treatment. If you need one of those, we will help you find a provider who does.

What to expect:

  • What you share is private. We explain the limits to that at your first visit.
  • You set the goals, and you can change them or stop at any time.
  • If you already receive peer support from us, you can receive therapy too. The two work together.

How to get started:

Contact us and tell us what brings you in. We will answer your questions and schedule your first appointment.
